UP Board Addresses Alleged Class 12 Exam Paper Leak on WhatsApp

The Uttar Pradesh Board of Madhyamik Siksha Parisad (UP Board) has responded to claims of a Class 12 Biology and Mathematics question paper leak circulating on WhatsApp. Secretary Prayagraj Dibyakant Shukla took to social media to provide clarification, stating that the leak was reported after the conclusion of the exam, and students were peacefully taking the test at their respective centers.

According to Shukla, the leak occurred around 3:10 pm via a WhatsApp group named ‘All Principles Agra’, allegedly orchestrated by Vinay Choudhary. However, by that time, the exam had already concluded for over an hour, ensuring no impact on the ongoing examination process. Shukla emphasized that all candidates were diligently writing their exams, unaffected by the circulated paper.

Moreover, Shukla mentioned that Choudhary’s intention behind leaking the paper was to assist a specific individual. As per reports from the news agency PTI, the FIR complaint includes the principal of Atar Singh Inter College, Rajhauli, along with his son, who works as a computer operator at the institute, and others.

Dr. Mukesh Agrawal, Joint Director of the Secondary Education Department and Observer for the exams stated that a committee was formed to investigate the incident. He asserted that necessary actions would be taken against those involved in the leak, ensuring legal repercussions for their actions.

The UP Board’s swift response and commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process highlight their dedication to fair and transparent assessments. Such measures aim to uphold the credibility of the education system, ensuring equal opportunities for all students.
