According to the Indian Constitution, the council of ministers cannot surpass 15% of the total number of Lok Sabha MPs. With the 18th Lok Sabha comprising 543 members, the council of ministers cannot exceed 81 members.

The President of India has appointed Shri Narendra Damodardas Modi as the Prime Minister of India. Further, as advised by the Prime Minister, the President has appointed the following as members of the Council of Ministers:-

The results for Lok Sabha elections 2024 were declared on 4th June, and the BJP secured 240 seats and Congress got 99 seats in thefinal tally. In the 2019 general elections, the BJP secured 303 seats, while in the 2014 general elections, they won 282 seats.

Among them are Heads of States from Bangladesh, Mauritius, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Seychelles, and Maldives. The event also sees the presence of notable celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar.
