According to a source cited by In Touch, “The fact that he purchased a new house while she was celebrating her birthday in the Hamptons was particularly humiliating for her. Additionally, he seems to be sending mixed signals by wearing his wedding ring one day and not the next — it feels like gaslighting,” the insider claimed.
The confusion seems to stem from Affleck’s inconsistent wearing of his wedding ring. The source mentioned that while Ben might be seen with his wedding ring on one day, he might appear without it in public the next, which has left Lopez feeling unsettled.
This news comes on the heels of a Page Six report that claimed Lopez was “upset” and “angry” with the Deep Water actor. A source told the outlet, “He has embarrassed her after she publicly declared him to be the love of her life. They had two weddings just two years ago. This isn’t something you expect from a mature couple.”
The insider also highlighted that JLo is troubled by the situation because “there are five kids involved.” Though Jennifer and Ben don’t share any children together, Affleck has three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner—Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel—while Lopez is the mother of twins, Max and Emme.
The first rumours of their divorce emerged in May of this year, and earlier this month, it was reported that the couple had signed the divorce papers.
