Congratulations appear to be in order for Grammy-winning artist Adele and her boyfriend, Rich Paul, as recent developments suggest that the couple is engaged. The news emerged during Adele’s monthlong residency in a custom-built stadium in Munich.
During one of her performances, Adele seemingly confirmed the engagement when she addressed a sign from a fan that read, “Will you marry me?” In response, Adele acknowledged the proposal, stating, “I can’t marry you because I’m already getting married, but I appreciate it,” while displaying her left hand to the audience.
Adele and Paul, a prominent sports agent, first fueled dating rumors in July 2021 when they were seen together at an NBA Finals game. Their relationship was later confirmed a few months later when Adele shared a photo of the two of them on Instagram.
Despite their attempts to maintain a private relationship, the couple has occasionally addressed public speculation. In February 2022, Adele dispelled breakup rumors by ending an Instagram post with, “Rich sends his love.” Engagement speculation intensified a week later at the BRIT Awards, where Adele was seen wearing a large ring on her left ring finger.
Following the awards ceremony, Adele appeared on The Graham Norton Show and remained coy about the engagement rumors. She remarked, “As if I would ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t,” and added about her jewelry, “It’s lovely though, isn’t it?”
In a December cover story for The Hollywood Reporter, Adele offered a glimpse into her relationship with Paul, highlighting their deep connection. She shared that they “always knew everything about each other since the day we got together,” reflecting the strong bond they have built over the past years.
As Adele continues her residency in Munich, fans and media alike are celebrating the exciting news of her engagement to Rich Paul.
