Ae Watan Mere WatanTrailer: Sara Ali Khan Shines as a Brave Freedom Fighter

Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming film “Ae Watan Mere Watan” promises a gripping tale of courage and resilience set against the backdrop of India’s freedom struggle. The recently released trailer introduces us to Sara Ali Khan’s character, Usha Rani, a 22-year-old freedom fighter who operates an underground radio station to spread awareness during the Quit India Movement of 1942. Directed by Kannan Iyer and produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, the film is inspired by true events and marks Sara Ali Khan’s debut in a patriotic role.

The trailer, shared on Amazon Prime Video’s official Instagram handle, showcases Sara Ali Khan’s fierce portrayal of Usha Rani, along with Sparsh Shrivastava and other freedom fighters. Sara Ali Khan’s dedication to the role is evident as she delves into the complexities of her character, depicting sacrifice, strength, and bravery.

Reflecting on her experience shooting for the film, Sara Ali Khan expressed admiration for her character, describing her as an “anonymous fighter” who sacrificed immensely for the cause of freedom. She emphasized the relevance of the story in today’s times, highlighting its themes of sacrifice and bravery.

In addition to “Ae Watan Mere Watan,” Sara Ali Khan will also be seen in the thriller “Murder Mubarak” alongside Vijay Varma. “Ae Watan Mere Watan” is set to stream on Amazon Prime from March 21, offering audiences a compelling narrative of India’s fight for independence.
