Ajay Devgn is one of Bollywood’s most versatile and accomplished performers. The National Ward winner has impressed fans with his work in films such as ‘Singham’ and ‘Tanhaji’. He turned 55 on Tuesday, April 2. Akshay Kumar took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to wish him on the special day. ‘Khiladi’ wished him luck for the year ahead and his upcoming release ‘Maidaan’.

For those who may not know, ‘Maidaan’ is set to clash at the box office with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan on April 10. Both films belong to different genres and their audience is unlikely to overlap.
‘Maidaan’ is a sports drama directed by Amit Sharma, best known for his work on ‘Badhaai Ho’. Besides Ajay Devgn, it stars Priyamani and Gajraj Rao in the lead. It is produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Akash Chawla. ‘Maidaan’ went on the floors in 2019 but faced numerous production delays.
Meanwhile, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ is an actioner directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The director previously directed the microphone for ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and ‘Sultan’. The film marks Akshay’s first collaboration with Tiger. The cast includes Prithviraj, Sonakshi Sinha, Ronit Roy, and Alaya F. The ‘Salaar’ actor plays the antagonist in the flick.
