Police File Case Against Allu Arjun
The Hyderabad Police have registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the management of Sandhya Theatre following a complaint by the deceased woman’s husband. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Zone) Akshansh Yadav, the case has been filed under sections 105 (Culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 118(1) (Voluntarily causing hurt), among others.
The police stated that neither the theatre management nor Allu Arjun’s team had informed authorities about the actor’s visit, leading to inadequate security measures. The lack of crowd management provisions reportedly resulted in chaos, causing suffocation in the lower balcony.
The victims, Revathi (35) and her son Sri Tej (13), were among the crowd in the lower balcony when they experienced severe suffocation due to overcrowding. On-site police officers pulled them out and performed CPR on the boy before transporting both to Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital.
Doctors at the hospital declared Revathi dead, while her son was transferred to another facility for advanced treatment.
In his video message, Allu Arjun emphasized that films are made to provide joy to audiences and urged moviegoers to prioritize their safety while attending theatres.
