SAG Awards: Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt's Hilarious Miranda Priestly Tribute with Meryl Streep

Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt Reunite with Meryl Streep, Channel Miranda Priestly in Hilarious SAG Awards Video

We are referring to the renowned trio from Devil Wears Prada, Emily Blunt, Anne Hathaway, and Meryl Streep, who got back together to present on Saturday night at the 2024 SAG Awards inside the Shrine Auditorium. 17 years have passed since the cherished fashion film’s June 2006 premiere. Even though the three megawatt stars have crossed paths since then, their reunion on stage is the first time they have appeared in public as a group in almost twenty years. Together, Hathaway and Blunt—who played Miranda Priestly’s assistants Andrea and Emily—presented the Best Costume Design award at the 2007 Oscars. While doing so, they performed a Prada-themed skit with Streep, who was seated in the audience.

This year, Streep stumbled as she entered the stage following an introduction by Idris Elba, almost toppling the microphone. She continued to joke that she had forgotten the envelope and her glasses just before her big moment.

Blunt and Hathaway swiftly found a solution to that conundrum by going to the stage and taking a position on either side of Streep. Subsequently, the most senior actress asked where the actor ended and the character started. In response, Blunt joked, “Meryl and Miranda Priestly are kind of like twins.”

Among the many well-known faces that presented during the show were Elba, Jennifer Aniston, Fran Drescher, Margot Robbie, and Billie Eilish, so the actresses were in the company of some very famous people during the ceremony.
