Are Athiya Shetty And KL Rahul Expecting Their First Baby? ‘Nana’ Suniel Shetty Drops A Major Hint

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul tied the knot in January 2023 after dating for a few years. The celebrity couple often showcase their love on social media and are seen going on stylish dates. However, there are now rumours that Athiya may be pregnant with the couple’s first child. Her father, Suniel Shetty, recently made a comment on a reality show that hinted at him becoming a grandfather soon.

On the reality show Dance Deewane, Suniel Shetty is currently seen as a judge alongside Madhuri Dixit. When host Bharti Singh joked about what a cool grandfather he would be, Suniel responded that next season he would be walking on stage like a grandfather. Suniel Shetty responded, “Yes, next season when I come I will be walking on the stage like a Nana.” This has sparked speculation that his daughter Athiya may be expecting her first baby with husband Rahul.

Athiya and KL Rahul met through mutual friends in 2019 and started dating shortly after. They kept their relationship private until 2021 when Rahul shared a loving birthday post for Athiya on Instagram. In 2023, they got married in an intimate ceremony with only 100 guests.

There has been no official confirmation yet from the couple on pregnancy reports. Athiya was recently seen at an event in a golden pantsuit, which now in hindsight makes it difficult to determine if she was hiding a bump. Only time will tell if the rumors are true.

Professionally, Athiya made her acting debut in the 2015 film Hero alongside Sooraj Pancholi, which was produced by Salman Khan. She went on to act in Mubarakan and Motichoor Chaknachoor. Her last film appearance was in 2019. Speaking of KL Rahul, he is currently part of the 2024 IPL and captain of the Lucknow Super Giants team. He recently made headlines when he was unexpectedly replaced as captain for a match, but it was later revealed he was out due to injury and was included as an impact player instead.
