‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ hit screens amid limited fanfare on August 3 and netted a disappointing Rs 2.90 crore on the first day while receiving negative reviews. The unimpressive word-of-mouth affected the film on the second day as it witnessed a slight dip in collection, indicating that the audience had rejected it.

‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ netted merely Rs 2.15 crore on the second day. Its total collection stands at nearly Rs 4 crore. It remains to be seen if the romantic-thriller is able to redeem itself on Sunday (August 4).
The film released alongside ‘Ulajh’ and also faced competition from ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’, which hit screens last week.

Written and directed by Neeraj Pandey, ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ is a romantic thriller that centres on the relationship between two lovers who reunite years after parting ways under unusual circumstances. It features Ajay Devgn and Tabu as the lead pair. The Chandini Bar actor had recently said that she gave the nod to the film as it is an “age-appropriate” romantic drama. She also said that the audience is “invested” in seeing her with Ajay Devgn.
“I think the audience is invested in me and Ajay as a couple on screen. Whether it is ‘Vijaypath’ or ‘Bholaa’ or ‘De De Pyaar De’, the audience has seen our comfort with each other, and they like that chemistry. So that’s what makes it more interesting for them. And that’s what makes them want to watch us together on screen. They think that, you know, they want us together. The film’s cast includes Jimmy Sheirgill, Saiee Manjrekar, and Shantanu Maheshwari.
‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ was released on August 2 and is currently playing in theatres.
