Bhumi Pednekar Honoured as Young Global Leader for Climate Advocacy

Renowned Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar has been acknowledged as a Young Global Leader (YGL) by the World Economic Forum for her exceptional contributions to sustainability and climate advocacy. The prestigious recognition places her among the YGL’s class of 2024, with an induction ceremony scheduled to take place in Geneva later this year.

Bhumi’s multifaceted efforts, ranging from raising awareness on sustainability issues to her commendable work during the COVID-19 pandemic, have garnered widespread acclaim. Her steadfast commitment to addressing urgent global challenges has earned her admiration and respect from peers and experts alike.

The Young Global Leaders community, an initiative by the World Economic Forum, aims to honor exceptional individuals under 40 who have shown remarkable leadership in tackling pressing global issues. The program empowers these individuals to drive positive change and shape a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Bhumi’s selection as a Young Global Leader underscores her dedication to creating awareness and instigating meaningful change in the fight against climate change.
