Boney Kapoor remembers Sridevi with a touching note

Boney Kapoor, a veteran filmmaker, shared an emotional Instagram post remembering his wife Sridevi on the fifth anniversary of her death.

“You left us 5 years back …… your love and memories will keep us going and will remain with us forever…,” he wrote.

Boney also shared a lovely photo of Sridevi. In response to the post, fashion designer Manish Malhotra commented with a string of red heart emojis.

“I’m one of the millions of fans that worships Sridevi. She was and still is the greatest actor that cinema has ever produced. Her work and legacy will live on forever. RIP,” a fan commented.

Earlier in the day, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, Sridevi’s daughters, paid tribute to their mother.

Taking to Instagram, Janhvi wrote, “I still look for you everywhere mumma, still do everything I do hoping I’m making you proud. Everywhere I go, and everything I do- it starts and ends with you.”

She also shared a photo of Janhvi adorably looking at her mother. Khushi Kapoor shared an image of Sridevi kissing the former on the cheek.

Sridevi died on February 24, 2018, in Dubai, where she had travelled to attend a family function. She was born Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan in 1963 and is best known for her roles in Hindi films such as ‘Chandni,’ ‘Lamhe,’ ‘Mr India,’ ‘Chaalbaaz,’ ‘Nagina,’ ‘Sadma,’ and ‘English Vinglish,’ among many others. Her outstanding performances in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films earned her the Padma Shri award.

Her most recent film was ‘Mom,’ for which she also received a posthumous Best Actress National Award.
