Brandon Sklenar Joins Christoper Landon’s Movie ‘Drop’ Cast

Actor Brandon Sklenar, renowned for his performances in films such as ‘Midway’, ‘Mapplethorpe’, and ‘Vice’, is set to star alongside Meghann Fahy in Christoper Landon’s upcoming project ‘Drop’, produced by Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse. While the details of the film’s storyline remain undisclosed, reports from Deadline suggest that it promises to be an exhilarating thriller.

Penned by Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach, the screenplay has garnered the backing of renowned producers Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller, and Cameron Fuller, who brought the script to Platinum Dunes. Sam Lerner serves as an executive producer on the project.

Universal will oversee the production, marking another collaboration between Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse, known for their successful Purge franchise, comprising five films and an upcoming sixth installment, as well as a television series adaptation.

Sklenar’s upcoming projects also include a role in Sony’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel ‘It Ends With Us’, where he stars opposite Blake Lively as Atlas Corrigan. The novel’s immense popularity, topping the bestseller list in the United States and maintaining a presence on the New York Times bestseller list for over 90 weeks, sets high expectations for the cinematic adaptation.

Additionally, Sklenar is part of the Paramount+ series ‘1923’, where he portrays the nephew of Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren’s characters. His notable presence in the series, alongside Ford and Mirren’s star power, bodes well for the anticipation surrounding the commencement of filming for season 2 this summer.

In recognition of his talent, Sklenar received the Best Actor award at the Vienna Independent Film Festival in 2022 for his portrayal of Sean Graves in ‘Futra Days’. His diverse range of roles includes portraying Burt Reynolds in the series ‘The Offer’, starring opposite Miles Teller, as well as appearing in Adam McKay’s films ‘Vice’ as Bobby Prentace and ‘Midway’ as George Gay, as reported by Deadline.
