BTS’s Jin Named Gucci’s Global Brand Ambassador; Creative Director Sabato De Sarno Praises His Magnetism

BTS member Jin, born Kim Seokjin, has been officially named as Gucci’s new global brand ambassador. This announcement follows his recent discharge from military service and adds to his growing list of accolades.

Jin’s New Role with Gucci

Jin, the oldest member of BTS, has made headlines with his new role as Gucci’s global brand ambassador. Known for his distinctive style and warm personality, Jin has been recognized by Gucci’s creative director, Sabato De Sarno. In a statement, De Sarno described Jin as “truly magnetic,” highlighting his unique style and ability to connect with people through his music. “He is a generous and extraordinary artist, which makes us even more honored to share this journey with him,” added De Sarno.

Speculation about Jin’s partnership with Gucci began when the luxury brand sent him gifts upon his military discharge. Photos of these gifts were shared by fans on social media, sparking rumors that Jin might be the next face of the brand. These rumors were confirmed on Wednesday with the official announcement.

Jin’s Fashion and Legacy

Jin has frequently worn Gucci in the past, describing the brand as “iconic” with a blend of heritage and modernity. “It is meaningful and thrilling to be a part of such a house,” Jin shared. His association with Gucci places him among other notable ambassadors like Alia Bhatt, Dakota Johnson, Hanni, Lee Jung Jae, Park Gyu Young, and Jay Park.

Upcoming Projects

Following his military service, Jin has a busy schedule ahead. He will debut his new vlog series, “RUN JIN,” on August 13, 2024, and is set to release his solo album soon. In a recent interaction on Weverse, Jin hinted at his upcoming album, responding to a fan’s post about Jimin’s album “Muse” with, “Jimin, after you, it’s me. I am going to sing too.”
