Can’t Get Coldplay Tickets in India? Explore Abu Dhabi for a Budget-Friendly Option!

British rock sensation Coldplay is gearing up for a much-anticipated performance in Mumbai as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour. Scheduled for January 2025, the announcement has thrilled fans, although many were left disheartened after failing to secure tickets amidst the overwhelming demand on the ticketing platform BookMyShow.

Ticketing Woes Leave Fans Disappointed

The rush for tickets was so intense that countless fans encountered lengthy virtual queues, resulting in a frustrating experience for those eager to attend the concert. The British band is also set to perform in Abu Dhabi at the Zayed Sports City Museum on January 11, 2025, giving fans in the UAE an earlier opportunity to experience their electrifying show.

Ticket Prices: A Comparative Overview

For those looking to catch Coldplay in Abu Dhabi, ticket prices range as follows:

  • Standard Seating: AED 195 (₹4,438.85)
  • Bronze Section: AED 295 (₹6,715.18)
  • Silver Section: AED 495 (₹11,267.85)
  • Gold Section: AED 595 (₹13,544.18)
  • Ruby Section: AED 695 (₹15,820.51)
  • Premium Section: AED 995 (₹22,649.51)
  • General Admission Standing: AED 395 (₹8,991.51)
  • Restricted View: AED 395 (₹8,991.51)
  • Deluxe Experience: AED 1,495 (₹34,031.17)

In comparison, ticket prices for the Mumbai concert start at ₹2,500 and can escalate to ₹35,000, with some being resold at inflated prices of ₹50,000 or more.

Travel Costs Favor Abu Dhabi Concert

Travel expenses from India to Abu Dhabi may also play a role in ticket decisions. A round-trip flight from New Delhi to Abu Dhabi on January 10 costs approximately ₹20,720, while the same journey from Mumbai is around ₹16,520. Combining these travel costs with concert tickets makes attending the Abu Dhabi show a more economical option than the Mumbai concert.

Additional Show Added Due to Demand

In response to the high demand, Coldplay has announced a second concert date in Abu Dhabi on January 12, 2025. Tickets for this additional show will go on sale starting September 27.

BookMyShow Addresses Ticket Scalping

In light of the ticketing challenges, BookMyShow released a statement on X (formerly Twitter), condemning ticket scalping practices. They have distanced themselves from unauthorized sellers and cautioned fans against purchasing from such platforms, warning of the potential for counterfeit tickets and financial loss. The statement emphasized that “BookMyShow has no association with any ticket selling or reselling platforms for Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour 2025 in India.”
