Coldplay Fever: Hotels Near Concert Venue Hit Rs 5 Lakh For 3 Nights

As Coldplay gets ready to enchant Navi Mumbai with a series of three concerts, hotels within a 20-km radius of DY Patil Stadium are raising their prices significantly—reflecting the immense demand surrounding this highly anticipated event.

Room rates have skyrocketed to as much as Rs 5 lakh for just a three-night stay, making this concert experience one of the most expensive in recent memory, even surpassing the frenzied pricing often seen during New Year’s Eve.

As the concert dates approach, hotel aggregator apps show that the best accommodations are already booked up, leaving many fans scrambling to find a place to stay after enjoying an unforgettable night of music.

Hotels near the concert venue are clearly taking advantage of the massive demand for Coldplay’s live shows. For instance, the Courtyard by Marriott and Taj Vivanta in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, have completely sold out their rooms, as reported by MakeMyTrip.

The high demand for tickets, which sold out within minutes on BookMyShow, prompted the addition of a third concert on January 21.

In Vashi, the Fortune Select Exotica, part of the ITC Hotel Group, is charging ₹2.45 lakh for a three-night stay accommodating three guests from January 17 to 20. Meanwhile, Fern Residency, located a short distance from the venue in Turbhe, is asking nearly ₹2 lakh for a room for two over the same period. Regenza by Tunga, another hotel in Vashi, has set its price at ₹4.45 lakh for a three-night stay during the concert.

Typically, these hotels charge between ₹7,000 and ₹30,000 per night for a room, according to hotel aggregator apps. Such inflated prices are usually observed during year-end festivities, but the rates for Coldplay’s performances far exceed those usual spikes.

For example, Taj Ends Land in Bandra is listing a room for two at over ₹34,000 for the night of January 17, while a room for New Year’s Eve is priced at over ₹32,000, according to Agoda.
