Anna Delvey’s journey on Dancing With the Stars has officially ended. The notorious con artist, whose real name is Anna Sorokin, gained infamy for scamming individuals out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, as chronicled in Jessica Pressler’s New York magazine article.
Her story became the basis for the Netflix series Inventing Anna, where Julia Garner portrayed Delvey and Shonda Rhimes served as showrunner.
During Tuesday night’s second episode of the season, Delvey was eliminated from the competition, alongside fellow contestant Tori Spelling and her professional dance partner, Pasha Pashkov, in a double elimination. The decision was based on judges’ scores and audience votes.
When DWTS co-host Julianne Hough asked Delvey what she would take away from her experience on the show, she humorously responded, “Nothing.”
Delvey and her partner, Ezra Sosa, performed their final dance—a quickstep to KT Tunstall’s “Suddenly I See”—in an Oscars-themed episode. Sosa playfully highlighted Delvey’s famously aloof personality during their routine.

After serving four years in prison, Delvey was released in 2021 but had been under house arrest while fighting deportation. She revealed that she received special permission from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to participate in Dancing With the Stars.
“I kind of got talked into doing this. I got permission from ICE, and then it was too late to back out,” Delvey explained to The Hollywood Reporter following the announcement of this season’s cast.
Though she was required to wear an ankle monitor during the show, Delvey noted that it wasn’t a major hindrance, describing it as “pretty light.” Her main goals were simply “to have some fun and maybe get in a little workout.”
However, her participation in the show was met with backlash, including from the co-hosts of ABC’s The View, who criticized DWTS—which also airs on ABC—for casting Delvey this season.
