‘Crew’ Enters Box Office With Impressive Debut, Ranks As Third Highest Opener Of 2024

The film “Crew,” featuring powerhouse actresses Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon, opened to a robust ₹8.75 crore on its first day in India, marking one of the most significant openings of the year 2024.

Despite facing stiff competition from blockbusters like “Godzilla X Kong” and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s “The Goat Life,” the heist comedy managed to garner impressive numbers at the box office. The star power of Tabu and Kareena Kapoor, along with the anticipation surrounding the film, played a pivotal role in its successful opening.

While the initial figures are promising, industry insiders predict that “Crew” will gain momentum over the weekend, buoyed by positive reviews and word-of-mouth recommendations. The film is poised to join the ranks of the biggest openers of 2024, following the footsteps of hits like “Fighter” and “Shaitaan.”

Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, “Crew” offers audiences a refreshing break from heavy political dramas, delivering a light-hearted and entertaining cinematic experience. Critics have praised the film for its comedic timing and ability to provide a carefree laughter-filled ride, reminiscent of the recently released “Madgaon Express.”

In addition to the stellar performances of Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon, “Crew” boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Diljit Dosanjh, Saswata Chatterjee, and Rajesh Sharma. Notably, Kapil Sharma makes a special appearance in the film, adding to its allure.

As “Crew” continues its theatrical run, audiences can expect an engaging and enjoyable cinematic journey, filled with laughter, excitement, and stellar performances from some of Bollywood’s most esteemed actors.
