Yami Gautam and Priyamani’s Article 370 is still doing well at the box office. Despite being viewed as controversial, the Aditya Dhar-directed political drama brought in Rs 7.5 crore at the box office on Saturday, bringing its nett domestic total to Rs 13.4 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. Article 370 recorded an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 26.58 percent on Saturday; evening screenings saw the highest attendance, at 44.39 percent. With the advantage of reduced ticket prices in multiple cities, Article 370 garnered Rs 5.9 crore on its first day of sales. Alongside the action film starring Vidyut Jammwal and Nora Fatehi, Article 370 was released in theaters.
In addition to Yami Gautam, the film stars Priyamani, Arun Govil, and Kiran Karmarkar in pivotal parts. The film’s director, Aditya Dhar, stressed the film’s authenticity and narrative purpose, saying that it explores an amazing story with a strong Indian focus. Aditya Dhar says, “The intent of the film is correct, and till the time I am a filmmaker, producer, and director, the intent will always be right,” in response to criticism and claims that it is propaganda. The day I stop making movies is the day the intent is incorrect. In addition, he underlined that the movie tells one of the greatest stories he has ever read.
