Deepika Padukone Takes The Throne, Beats Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor To Become Highest Paid Actress

Deepika Padukone has become the highest-paid actress in the Indian film industry. Her latest earnings per film range from Rs. 15 to 20 crore, surpassing other top actresses like Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan. This accomplishment highlights her tremendous popularity and significant influence in Bollywood.

Deepika’s rise to this position has been driven by her outstanding performances and the commercial success of her recent movies. She has been a part of several major hits, including “Pathaan,” “Jawan,” “Fighter,” and “Kalki 2898.”

These films not only performed well at the box office but also solidified her reputation as a leading actress. Her consistent ability to deliver strong performances and draw audiences has made her a highly sought-after talent in Bollywood.

Who Else Made It To The List?

Alia Bhatt, another major figure in the industry, holds the second spot in terms of earnings, with a fee of Rs. 15 crore per film. Her recent projects, such as “Gangubai Kathiawadi,” “RRR,” “Darlings,” “Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva,” and “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” have contributed significantly to her success. Additionally, her Hollywood debut in “Heart of Stone” has further established her as a versatile and talented actress. With upcoming films like “Jigra” and “Alpha,” Alia remains a strong presence in the industry.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, another seasoned Bollywood actress, charges between Rs. 8 and 11 crore per film. Despite being one of the top-paid actresses, Kareena chooses roles based on artistic value and personal interest rather than financial gain. This approach has allowed her to maintain a varied and successful career in Bollywood.

Katrina Kaif ranks fourth, charging Rs. 8 to 10 crore per film. Her steady performances and box office hits have kept her among the top Bollywood actresses. Similarly, Shraddha Kapoor, who also charges Rs. 8 to 10 crore per film, has made a name for herself with versatile roles and commercial success.

Here’s How The List Looks Like:

Deepika Padukone: 15-20 crores
Alia Bhatt: 15 crores
Kareena Kapoor Khan: 8-11 crores
Katrina Kaif: 8-10 crores
Shraddha Kapoor: 8-10 crores

Other notable actresses, including Kriti Sanon, Kiara Advani, Kangana Ranaut, and Taapsee Pannu, charge between Rs. 5 to 8 crore per film. Each of these actresses has established a niche for themselves, delivering performances that resonate with audiences and contribute to their high market value.

The fees these actresses command reflect their significant contributions to the film industry and the high demand for their talent. A producer mentioned that while these rates apply to films featuring A-list actors, actresses might charge more for solo female-centric films.

If the production cost of such a film is around Rs. 20-25 crore, paying the lead actress Rs. 5 to 7 crore is considered reasonable. The budget for female-centric films is generally lower, but the actresses’ pivotal roles justify the higher fees.
