During the recent premiere of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Riddhima Kapoor shared an interesting anecdote about Bollywood superstar Salman Khan stepping in as a bartender at her wedding, a departure from the usual sight of Bollywood celebrities serving food at Ambani weddings.
Comedian Kapil Sharma revealed behind-the-scenes moments from the premiere episode of his new show, including a conversation with Riddhima Kapoor about her admiration for individuals in the film industry. While initially mentioning her parents – Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor – as her inspirations, her brother Ranbir Kapoor revealed her special fondness for Salman Khan, even recalling her having posters of him in her room.
When Kapil asked if Salman had indeed assumed the role of bartender at her wedding to Bharat Sahni, Riddhima confirmed with a ‘Yes.’ Neetu Kapoor chimed in, sharing the humorous incident. She recounted, “Salman said, ‘I will be the bartender.’ I agreed. Salman Khan serving drinks to everyone, right? So he did. Then the waitstaff approached us, saying the liquor was running out. Rishi ji was surprised, saying, ‘I got so much. How is it running out?’ Then we realized that guests were saving their drinks and requesting Salman for refills. Everyone wanted a drink because Salman Khan was behind the bar. Eventually, Rishi ji went up to Salman and said, ‘Come out from there.’”
Riddhima Kapoor, a jewellery designer, tied the knot with businessman Bharat Sahni in 2006 after a four-year courtship that began during their studies in London. Their daughter, Samara Sahni, was born in 2011. Riddhima will also make an appearance in the third installment of the series ‘Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’, titled ‘Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives’.
