The release date for the film “Amar Singh Chamkila,” starring Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh, has been locked. The film “Amar Singh Chamkila” tells the untold true story of Amar Singh Chamkila, the original rockstar of Punjab who, despite angering many along the way, ultimately led to his assassination at the young age of 27, rose from the obscurity of poverty to the pinnacles of popularity in the 1980s. Chamkila, the best-selling artist of his era, is still considered as one of Punjab’s greatest live performers of all time. Earlier, director Imtiaz Ali discussed the movie, saying, “It has been a unique journey for me to make ‘Amar Singh Chamkila,’ which is about the life of the iconic music star of the masses.” There isn’t a better actor in the world than the incredibly gifted.
