Elvish Yadav, YouTuber and winner of Bigg Boss OTT2, was arrested by Noida Police on Sunday, March 17 in connection with the snake venom case. He is set to appear in court following his arrest. Yadav was questioned by the Noida Police regarding allegations of involvement in using snake venom at rave parties.
Following a brief interrogation, Yadav was taken into custody. He, along with five others, faces charges under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120A of the Indian Penal Code for purportedly supplying snake venom for a party held in Noida’s Sector 51. This sting operation was orchestrated by Maneka Gandhi’s People for Animals. Forensic analysis revealed the presence of cobra and krait snake venom in samples confiscated from the party venue.
People for Animals initiated a sting operation to uncover the exploitation of rare animals, leading them to approach Elvish Yadav based on a tip-off regarding his alleged network involved in such activities. According to the complaint, Yadav assisted by providing contacts who facilitated the procurement of snake venom.
Despite facing multiple rounds of questioning, Yadav denied all accusations. During the sting operation conducted by People for Animals, nine snakes were discovered at the party, all of which had their venom glands removed. Additionally, eight out of nine snakes were found to be missing their teeth.
The rave party incident dates back to November 3, 2023. It was held at a banquet hall in Noida Sector 51. Yadav was not present at the party.
