Hacked: YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s Channels Attacked By Cyber Criminals

Wednesday night came as a shock to popular Indian YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia! Both of his YouTube channels got hacked.

The attackers hijacked the channels, renamed the BeerBiceps channel to “@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024,” and his personal channel was changed to “@Tesla.event.trump_2024.”

They also removed all his previous content from his interviews to the podcasts with celebrities and politicians. They replaced it with fraudulent livestreams that had AI-generated versions of Elon Musk and content related to Donald Trump’s past events’.

What’s more concerning was the fraudulent livestream with fake Elon Musk. It was a “Bitcoin doubling” scheme scam, where it encouraged viewers to participate in a cryptocurrency giveaway, promising to double any Bitcoin or Ethereum sent to a QR code displayed on the screen. The hackers endorsed the cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Dogecoin.

Fans and subscribers were shocked to see the scammers’ livestream with the fraudulent political and financial content on both his channels. However, Ranveer Allahbadia, who has around 12 million subscribers, has not yet released an official statement about the incident.

How did the hackers get access? This may have been done via fraud and malicious links, which have been sent to Ranveer Allahbadia’s accounts. Or it was hacked after the download of any malicious software.

As the situations unfold, many high profile YouTubers are now at risk of getting hacked as cybercrimes are on a disturbing rise.
