The 13th Sahityotsav Jashn-e-Adab Art, Culture, and Literature Festival, a prominent cultural event in India, returns with grandeur and magnificence. Scheduled from February 23 to 25 at IGNCA, Janpath Building, Janpath, New Delhi, this festival promises a remarkable experience for all attendees, with free entry.
As a torchbearer of Hindustani Art, Culture, and Literature, Sahityotsav Jashn-e-Adab aims to connect a broader audience, both within India and worldwide, with the richness of Hindustani cultural heritage. In collaboration with the Ministry of Culture (GoI) and the Ministry of Tourism (GoI), this festival stands as a beacon of Indian cultural expression.
Renowned artists from across the nation will grace the stage during this three-day extravaganza. The program boasts captivating performances, including classical singing by Padma Bhushan Pt. Sajan Mishra and Pt. Swaransh Mishra, mesmerizing Classical Kathak Dance by Padma Shree Ranjana Gauhar, rare Rabab recitals by Padma Shree Ustad Gulfam Ahmad Khan, and scintillating Sitar performances by Grammy Nominee Maestro Ustad Shujaat Khan.
For enthusiasts of Shayari and Kavita, the Mushaira/Kavi Sammelan/Sheri Nashist will feature esteemed wordsmiths such as legendary Padma Shri Prof. Ashok Chakradhar, iconic Waseem Barelvi, acclaimed Farhat Ehsaas, renowned Kunwar Ranjeet Chauhan, Anas Faizi, and Javed Mushiri.
Attendees will be captivated by the melodious Sufi singing of outstanding performer Sonam Kalra, known for her Coke Studio performances and multiple accolades at the Global Music Awards 2023. Additionally, Rajeev Singh and his group will present their Phakkad Gayaki, renowned for its power and emotion. Dr. Mamta Joshi, with her unique blend of Punjabi and Sufi singing, promises to leave the audience spellbound.
One of the highlights includes the performance of ‘Heer’ by Qissakar Manu Sikander Dhingra, based on the original story by Wasir Shah, which has garnered acclaim across the country. Renowned actors like Vinay Pathak, Richa Chadha, Prakash Belavadi, Faisal Malik, Durgesh Kumar, Chandan Roy, and Shrikant Verma, known for their remarkable performances in OTT and movies, will also participate in various sessions.
An unmissable aspect of the festival is the comedy play “Anti-National Ghalib,” directed by Shri Anil Sharma (NSD) and written by Dr. Danish Iqbal.
