Since the announcement of Don 3 starring Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani, fans have been eagerly anticipating Farhan’s return to the director’s chair for this highly awaited film. Despite initial plans to commence filming in August, it appears that the movie’s production will be delayed due to Farhan prioritizing his acting commitments. Sources suggest that filming for the third installment of the Don franchise is now expected to begin around December.
According to reports, Farhan will be focusing on his acting endeavors for the time being. He is slated to star in an action-packed entertainer directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai, known for Dhaakad. This project is particularly significant for Farhan as it marks his return to acting after a three-year hiatus post Toofaan.
The delay in the filming schedule is also attributed to the unfinished script. Farhan, along with Pushkar-Gayatri (renowned for Vikram Vedha), is crafting the script, which requires additional time to ensure it lives up to the standards set by the previous installments and introduces a reinvented Don for modern audiences.

Earlier this year, Farhan introduced Kiara Advani as the female lead for Don 3. The film is rumored to boast a substantial budget of Rs 275 crore and is expected to be shot across various international locations.
In a teaser released last year, Farhan Akhtar unveiled Ranveer Singh as the new Don in Don 3: The Final Chapter. The teaser featured Ranveer’s powerful voiceover, hinting at the awakening of a formidable force.
Aside from Don 3, Farhan Akhtar has an impressive lineup of projects on the horizon. He is set to produce the drama film Jee Le Zaraa, featuring a star-studded cast including Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
