Marvel Studios is reportedly aiming for major industry awards as it campaigns for Oscar nominations for Deadpool & Wolverine, following the film’s success within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This film has become a standout hit, emerging as the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time and Marvel’s second billion-dollar release since Avengers: Endgame. With numerous Marvel cameos and a storyline that explores the multiverse, the Phase 5 adventure continues to generate excitement globally.

According to a leading publication, Marvel Studios is submitting Deadpool & Wolverine for consideration in the comedy categories at the Golden Globes.

Ryan Reynolds is also being considered for the best actor category, while Hugh Jackman will be put forward for best supporting actor in various prestigious awards, including the Oscars, Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards, and Critics Choice Awards.

The film is also targeting nominations in technical categories, such as visual effects and production design.

The significant attention that Deadpool & Wolverine has received, both before and after its theatrical release, supports Marvel Studios’ push for Oscar recognition, particularly for Jackman.

After returning to the role of Wolverine, which he initially left in 2017, Jackman delivered one of his most acclaimed performances in this film, emphasizing his longstanding legacy in the superhero genre.
