Karan Johar, the head of Dharma Productions, is reportedly in talks to sell a majority stake in his production company. According to a report by Exchange4Media, the producer-director has approached several of India’s largest corporations to explore investment opportunities.
Potential investors are said to include major business conglomerates based in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad. Additionally, a prominent music company is reportedly among the leading contenders.
Dharma Productions’s Financial Performance
As discussions about seeking investors continue, Dharma Productions’ financial performance has come under the spotlight. The company’s financial data shows a decline in post-tax profit, dropping from ₹27.1 crore in the financial year 2022-23 to ₹10.70 crore in FY 2023-24.

Dharma Productions’s Upcoming projects
Despite the financial scrutiny, Dharma Productions has a packed schedule for 2024. In the first half of the year, the company released four films: Yodha, Mr & Mrs Mahi, Kill, and Bad Newz.
Two additional films, Jigra and Dhadak 2, are slated for release in October and November, respectively. Additionally, Devara, a film presented by Dharma Productions featuring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, is also set to be released this year.
