Is Nayak 2 In The Making With Siddharth Anand? Producer Denies Reports Dubbing It “Fake News”

According to a recent report from a leading news portal, producer Siddharth Anand and director Milan Luthria are said to be collaborating on a sequel to the film Nayak. A source informed the website, stating, “Nayak 2 is set to be produced by Siddharth and Mamta Anand under their production house, Marflix Pictures. Similar to the original movie, this sequel is anticipated to be a grand-scale commercial film with a political backdrop, helmed by Milan Luthria. The team has developed a storyline that naturally progresses into a sequel to Nayak and carries a strong undertone of a vigilante-themed action film.”

The source also spilled the beans, “Siddharth Anand has reunited the writing-directing duo of Milan and Rajat for Nayak 2, and he is enthusiastic about creating a unique vigilante-based action entertainer. Apart from the action sequences, Nayak 2 is reported to heavily focus on dialogue and drama, and casting is currently in progress. An A-list actor is expected to join the project.”

In light of this report, speculation arose among fans regarding Anil Kapoor’s involvement in the sequel. However, producer Deepak Mukut refuted the claims of Siddharth Anand and Milan Luthria’s collaboration on Nayak 2 as “false information.” Speaking to a leading publication, Mukut stated, “Nayak 2 cannot proceed without our involvement, as we hold the rights to the film. The reports regarding Nayak 2 being directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Siddharth Anand are unfounded.”

Mukut added, “Although there were discussions about a film with Siddharth Anand around five years ago, it did not materialize, and Nayak 2 was indeed mentioned, but it did not come to fruition. We have plans to make Nayak 2 with a prominent actor when the time is right, but the current reports are inaccurate.”
