Several names, including Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney, are reportedly under consideration for roles as Bond girls in the upcoming James Bond film. According to a source who spoke to a leading publication, Barbara Broccoli, the executive producer of the Bond franchise, is keen on incorporating a young starlet to portray the iconic “femme fatale” character.
The insider noted, “When it comes to Bond girls, they are integral to the franchise, and introducing a young Bond could offer exciting new possibilities.” Sydney Sweeney’s potential involvement has been discussed, but decisions will depend on scheduling, suitability, and the director’s vision.
The source also mentioned the possibility of Zendaya being considered for a role, particularly if Denis Villeneuve, who has previously collaborated with her, is chosen to direct the film. Barbara Broccoli reportedly has a strong desire for Villeneuve to helm the project, although his busy schedule might pose challenges in securing his involvement.
The source shared, “If Villeneuve is unavailable for the next installment, efforts will continue to persuade him for future films.” Broccoli aims to recapture the fantastical elements of Bond, reintroducing larger-than-life villains while maintaining thrilling action sequences. There is also speculation about Aaron Taylor Johnson potentially becoming the seventh actor to portray James Bond, although he has yet to confirm his acceptance of the role.
