It’s Official! Ram Charan, ‘Pushpa’ Director Sukumar Team Up for ‘RC 17’

Ram Charan is set to team up with ‘Pushpa’ director Sukumar for ‘RC 17’, which will be produced under the Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings banners. Additionally, Devi Sri Prasad will compose music for the flick. However, the makers are yet to announce the name of the female lead.  The biggie is slated to go on floors later this year. It will hit screens in the last quarter of 2025. ‘RC 17’ is billed as a ‘pan-India  cinematic venture’.

This will mark the Global Star’s second collaboration with Sukumar after ‘Rangasthalam’, which emerged as a massive critical and commercial success. The rural actioner featured Charan in a raw and rustic avatar, which clicked with the masses. It remains to be seen whether ‘RC 17’ too proves to be a gamechanger for him.

The ‘Mega Power Star’, meanwhile, is working on ‘Game Changer’. The Shankar-directed flick features the actor as a principled civil servant. Its cast includes Kiara Advani, Jayaram, Sunil, Anjali, and Nassar. Game Changer is expected to hit screens in September.

He will then be seen in ‘RC 16’, directed by Sana Buchi Babu of Uppena fame. The film features Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady and will be her second Telugu film after Jr NTR’s ‘Devara’.

Sukumar, on the other hand, is working on ‘Pushpa 2’. The film stars Allu Arjun in the titular role and is touted to be ‘bigger and better’ than the first part. The actioner’s cast includes Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, and Jagapathi Babu. Puspa 2 is expected to open in theatres on August 15. Sukumar also has a film with Vijay Deverakonda in the pipeline but there’s no word on when it will go on floors.
