Janhvi Kapoor Joins the Cast of Ram Charan’s ‘RC 16’ on Her Birthday

Janhvi Kapoor is widely considered to be one of Bollywood’s bright young stars. The actress has carved a niche for herself in the industry with her work in films like ‘Roohi’ and ‘Gunjan Saxena’. Here is some big news for her fans.

Janhvi is set to star opposite Ram Charan in ‘RC 16’, one of the most ambitious films of her career. The makers of the pan-India film shared the news on Wednesday, March 6, on the occasion of her birthday. 

‘RC 16’, directed by Buchi Babu Sana of ‘Uppena’ fame, features Ram Charan in a new avatar. It also stars Mrunal Thakur, best known for her work in ‘Sita Ramam’, in a key role. AR Rahman will compose music for ‘RC 16’.

Interestingly, this comes at a time when Janhvi Kapoor is working on Koratala Siva’s ‘Devara’, which marks her Telugu debut. The actioner features Jr NTR in the lead and will be released in multiple languages. It features Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist. Last year, she had shared her excitement about being part of the biggie. 

“Literally counting down the days (to the film’s shoot). I message the director (Koratala Siva) every day. Working with Jr NTR has been a dream. I recently re-watched RRR. The magnitude of charisma that he has. To be able to share screen space with him will be one of the biggest joys of my life,” shed had told India Today

Going by her recent career moves, she plans to to consolidate her standing in the Telugu film industry.

Janhvi Kapoor, meanwhile, also has ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ in her kitty. The ‘Mili’ star will be seen opposite Rajkummar Rao in the sports drama.
