Alia Bhatt will soon be seen in Jigra, one of the most ambitious films of her career. It has garnered attention with its intense teaser and intriguing yet emotional premise. In the latest development, its official trailer is out and it is a power-packed affair. In it, Alia is seen in a never-seen-before avatar as she gears up for a deeply personal mission. Jigra is an actioner, directed by Vasan Bala.
Alia Bhatt, the star of well-received films such as Brahmastra and Raazi, is set to add another feature to her cap with Jigra. Vasan Bala’s film is billed as an action drama with an emotional storyline. On Thursday (September 26), the makers of the film unveiled its trailer to pique the curiosity of fans.
The well-packaged video starts off with Alia’s character receiving an ominous call. The audience then learns that her brother (Vedang Raina) is in prison and has been sentenced to death even though he does not understand the same.
Alia subsequently decides to embark of a misson to rescue her brother. However, she soon realises that this won’t be a piece of cake. Following numerous setback, she trains to execute her daring plan. Alia looks fierce in the trailer and carries off her new avatar like a boss.
‘Jigra’ is Alia Bhatt’s second production effort following her 2022 Netflix black-comedy ‘Darlings’. She is co-producing this new project with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film is set to hit theaters on October 11. It is directed by Vasan Bala. Post this, Alia Bhatt will appear in ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love & War’, where she will star alongside her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. She was previously seen with Ranbir in ‘Brahmastra’. Similarly, she previously collaborated with Vicky on the thriller ‘Raazi’
