Kareena Kapoor Khan to Star With Yash in ‘Toxic’? Makers Issue a Statement

Kareena Kapoor Khan recently said that she is  in talks to make her South cinema debut with ‘big film’ and this created a great deal of buzz on social media. Fans soon assumed that she was referring to ‘Toxic’, starring Yash, which added to excitement. Some reports also claimed that Sai Pallavi and Shruti Haasan would also feature in the biggie. 

The makers of ‘Toxic’ have now reacted to this speculation and urged movie buffs to wait for the official announcements. They added they are happy with the team they have put together.

“There are many unsubstantiated theories and information doing rounds about the casting of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups. We truly appreciate the excitement around Toxic, but at this point, we would request everyone to refrain from speculation. The casting process for the film is near completion, and we are thrilled with the team we have onboard. As we gear up to bring this story to life, we request everyone to wait for the official announcements,” read the statement. 

‘Toxic’, directed by Geethu Mohandas, is a gangster drama told from a new perspective. It will be produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations and is set to hit screens on April 10, 2025. 

‘Toxic’ will be Yash’s first release after ‘KGF 2’, which emerged as a smash hit in 2022. The Prashanth Neel-directed actioner featured the ‘Rocking Star’ as Rocky Bhai and proved to be a treat for the mass audience. The cast included Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Rao Ramesh, and Prakash Raj. 

Kareena, meanwhile, is gearing up for the release of ‘Crew’, set to open in theatres on March 29. She will be seen with Tabu and Kriti Sanon in the heist-comedy. She will also be seen in the actioner ‘Singham Again’, featuring Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh.
