Nadiadwala Meets Thailand PM, Talks Film Collaboration

Indian film producer Sajid Nadiadwala recently had a meeting with Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin to explore collaborations in film production, cultural exchange, and government support for Indian creators shooting in Thailand.

The discussion mainly revolved around strengthening ties between the film industries of both countries. Nadiadwala, renowned for his work on films like ‘Baaghi’, ‘Baaghi 2’, and ‘Housefull 2’, expressed his interest in bringing more Indian film projects to Thailand. Prime Minister Thavisin welcomed Indian filmmakers warmly, recognizing the mutual benefits such collaborations could bring.

Additionally, the meeting served as an opportunity for cultural exchange. Nadiadwala presented Prime Minister Thavisin with a pashmina shawl and a peacock brooch, symbolizing India’s rich cultural heritage.

The conversation aimed to identify collaborative ideas to enhance the filming experience in Thailand and promote cultural exchange. It was noted that many Thai technicians are involved in working on Indian films, further strengthening the ties between the two industries.

Prime Minister Thavisin took to social media to express his enthusiasm for supporting filmmakers interested in shooting in Thailand, mentioning discussions on tax measures and benefits. He emphasized the government’s commitment to promoting filmmaking as a means to boost the country’s economy through tourism and cultural exchange.

Reflecting on the meeting, Sajid Nadiadwala expressed pleasure in discussing topics beyond creative partnerships, focusing on building strong relationships and exchanging ideas to facilitate seamless filming processes in Thailand.

Nadiadwala’s upcoming projects include ‘Housefull 5’ and ‘Chandu Champion.’
