Netflix launches 5 new films as part of its Films Day

Streaming behemoth Netflix celebrated its 25th anniversary of incorporation on August 29. In India, the firm held a unique event called ‘Films Day’ to commemorate its anniversary.

The Films Day celebration included a combination of already released, previously announced, and new releases in Hindi. Among them are Alia Bhatt’s blockbuster ‘Darlings,’ Anushka Sharma’s forthcoming cricket drama ‘Chakda Xpress,’ and Yami Gautam’s heist thriller ‘Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga.’ Several celebrities attended the evening, including Yami Gautam and Tabu.

Netflix featured a variety of initiatives spanning genres as part of its new campaign, Har Din Filmy. From behind-the-scenes footage to posters and teasers, the streaming platform offered snippets from these upcoming films on Instagram to give the public a taste of what to anticipate.

This campaign includes films starring Rajkummar Rao, Tabu, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sunny Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Sanya Malhotra, and Riteish Deshmukh, among others. Take a look at the flicks that were released today.

Netflix released an amazing sneak look at its new crime-drama movie Monica, O My Darling, directed by Vasan Bala, by posting images of actors who play crucial roles in this fascinating and mystery satire-laced crime thriller.

Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, starring Sunny Kaushal and Yami Gautam, was launched by Netflix and presented a fascinating behind-the-scenes scoop that provides fans a taste of what went into the development of the film.

Tabu stars in Khufiya
The first trailer for Netflix’s new spy drama Khufiya, written and directed by the famous Vishal Bhardwaj, was released today. The first look video is a unique montage of sequences from the film, revealing the film’s dramatic, riveting characters for the first time. Based on the novel ‘Escape to Nowhere,’ written by ex-Chief of R&AW’s Counter Espionage Unit, Amar Bhushan, the film follows the journey of an R&AW operative-Krishna Mehra-who is assigned an important task that forces her to juggle her multiple identities as a spy and a lover. It also has key performances by Ali Fazal, Ashish Vidyarthi, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Azmeri Haque Badhon.

The motion poster for Netflix’s much-anticipated comedy Kathal, which also stars Anant Joshi, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Neha Saraf, and Sanya Malhotra, has been released. The film is a dramedy set in a small town that revolves around Mahima, a young police officer portrayed by Sanya Malhotra, who is determined to investigate a weird case of missing jackfruit (kathal) belonging to a local politician.
