Suhani Bhatnagar, who portrayed a young Babita Phogat in the 2016 blockbuster Dangal starring Aamir Khan, passed away on Friday at the age of 19. Suhani Bhatnagar, 19, passed away on Friday. Suhani’s father, Sumit Bhatnagar, spoke to the media about his daughter on Saturday, hours after the news of her passing broke. He claimed that Suhani had dermatomyositis, a rare inflammatory illness that results in muscle weakness and skin rashes.
After experiencing medical issues, Suhani Bhatnagar passed away on February 16 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), in Delhi, where she had been admitted on February 7. About two months ago, she started to get a red spot on her hands. We sought the opinion of physicians in various Faridabad hospitals, believing it to be an allergy, but no diagnosis could be made. We managed to get her admitted to AIIMS when her condition began to worsen. Sumit Bhatnagar, Suhani’s father, told reporters, “But there was no improvement and her lungs were damaged due to accumulation of excess fluid.”
Suhani and her family resided in Faridabad. She had put acting on hold while she finished her education. Her final ceremonies were held on Saturday at Delhi’s Ajronda cremation site.
