Actor couple Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya got engaged on August 8 in Hyderabad. Following the engagement, Sobhita’s popularity surged, making her trend on the IMDb Popular Indian Celebrities list this week.
After the engagement, Sobhita climbed to the second position on the IMDb list. Sharvari, who recently won the IMDb Breakout STARmeter award after the release of Munjya, continues to hold the top spot. Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Janhvi Kapoor occupy the third, fourth, and fifth spots, respectively.
The rest of the top 10 spots this week include Lakshya, Deepika Padukone, Vijay Sethupathi, Mrunal Thakur, and Aishwarya Rai. The Popular Indian Celebrities feature on IMDb highlights the top trending Indian celebrities each week, based on monthly visits to the site worldwide.

Sobhita and Chaitanya, who have been dating since 2022, recently got engaged. While the couple has remained private about their relationship, a chef had shared a photo of them together during a vacation in London in 2023, and fans had since noticed other subtle hints of their relationship before the engagement.
After the engagement, Nagarjuna announced the news on X (formerly Twitter), sharing photos of the couple. Sobhita also posted some sweet moments from the ceremony, along with a heartfelt poem. The engagement was an intimate affair, attended only by the couple’s families. They have yet to reveal their wedding plans.
Sobhita was last seen in Dev Patel’s Monkey Man, which has yet to be released in India, and the Disney+ Hotstar web series The Night Manager. She is set to appear in Sitara and has not yet announced any other upcoming projects.
