Ram Charan is one Telugu cinema’s biggest and most popular stars. The mass hero has impressed fans with his impressive performances and gripping screen presence. The ‘RRR’ actor is now in the limelight for a sweet reason. Actress Mamitha Baiju, who impressed fans with her work in ‘Premalu’, recently praised Charan and said she is a big fan of his 2009 blockbuster ‘Magadheera’.
In an interaction with the Telugu media, Mamitha recalled being blown away by Charan’s transformation from a commoner to a mighty warrior in the reincarnation saga.
‘Magadheera’, one of SS Rajamouli’s finest films, revolved around three people who cross meed under unusual circumstances and soon learn about their past lives. It featured Ram Charan in two distinct roles and established him as a force to reckon with. The cast included Kajal Aggarwal, Srihari, Dev Gill and Rao Ramesh. The biggie, shot on a budget of Rs 35 crore, collected over Rs 100 crore globally to emerge as a blockbuster. It was remade in Bengali as ‘Yodha’, which flopped at the box office.
Coming back to Ram Charan, he was last seen in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, starring Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde. The ‘Yevadu’ actor is working on ‘Game Changer’, directed by S Shankar. The film, reportedly, has mild socio-political themes and features him in two distinct roles. The pan-India film stars Kiara Advani as the leading lady and marks her second collaboration with Charan after ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’.
Ram Charan will also be teaming up with Buchi Babu Sana of ‘Uppena’ fame for a sports drama, being referred to as ‘RC 16’. It will, reportedly, feature Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady.
Mamitha Baiju, meanwhile, is gearing up the release of Premalu’s Telugu-dubbed version. The romantic drama is currently second-highest grossing Malayalam film (worldwide) of 2024 after ‘Manjummel Boys’
