Prime Video Expands Offerings With New Movies And Shows like ‘Paatal Lok 2’, ‘Bandish Bandits 2’

Amazon Prime Video has unveiled an impressive lineup of close to 70 series and movies set to premiere over the next two years, featuring a diverse range of talent and storytelling across Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.

Among the notable projects is Boman Irani’s directorial debut, “The Mehta Boys,” which stars Boman Irani and Avinash Tiwary in lead roles, with Shreya Chaudhary in a pivotal role. This marks an exciting step for Irani as he ventures into directing.

Fans of the hit series “Paatal Lok” will be delighted to hear about the announcement of Season 2, featuring Jaideep Ahlawat alongside Ishwak Singh, Tillotama Shome, and others. The show promises to delve deeper into complex narratives and conspiracies, bringing back the gripping storytelling that audiences loved in the first season.

Similarly, the return of “Bandish Bandits” for Season 2 brings more musical magic and romantic drama to the screen, with Ritwik Bhowmik and Shreya Chaudhry reprising their roles alongside a talented ensemble cast.

Additionally, Nushrratt Bharuccha will captivate audiences once again in “Chhorii 2,” the sequel to the critically acclaimed horror thriller. Directed by Vishal Furia, the film promises to deliver more spine-tingling moments and captivating performances.

Prime Video also secured the highly anticipated sequel “Stree 2,” starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khuranna. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film is expected to continue the successful blend of horror and comedy that made its predecessor a hit.

Comedy enthusiasts can rejoice with the announcement of “Housefull 5,” the next installment in the popular franchise, which promises five times the laughter, madness, and confusion. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film will bring more chaotic fun post-theatrical release.

In addition to these exciting projects, Prime Video is set to release a diverse range of web series and films, catering to various tastes and preferences. From the Indian adaptation of the Russo brothers’ Citadel Universe, “Citadel: Honey Bunny,” starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, to the Karan Johar-backed “Daring Partners” featuring Tamannaah Bhatia, Diana Penty, and Javed Jaffrey, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Regional titles also feature prominently in Prime Video’s slate, with releases like Surya’s “Kanguva,” “Ghaati,” “Om Bheem Bush,” “Game Changer,” and more, showcasing the platform’s commitment to catering to diverse audiences across India.

During the event, Prime Video unveiled a plethora of exciting titles, including the much-anticipated sequels Panchayat 3, Mirzapur 3, and The Family Man 3, along with Singham Again and more. Additionally, the streaming platform introduced numerous regional titles such as Surya’s Kanguva, Ghaati, Om Bheem Bush, Game Changer, Thammudu, and others.

One of the standout highlights is Siddharth Roy Kapur and Nagraj Manjule’s ‘Matka King,’ featuring Vijay Varma as a Mumbai cotton merchant who revolutionizes the gambling scene by democratizing ‘matka’ and making it accessible beyond the elite circles.

 Among the upcoming releases are Nikkhil Advani’s adaptation of Sanjeev Sanyal’s book, ‘The Revolutionaries,’ which pays homage to the bravery and sacrifices of our freedom fighters. Additionally, Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and Ayesha Sood’s documentary series ‘In Transit’ delves into the lives of trans and non-binary individuals, offering a glimpse into their experiences and challenges.

Furthermore, ‘Daring Partners,’ starring Tamannaah Bhatia, Diana Penty, and Javed Jaffrey, promises to deliver engaging content, while Uorfi Javed’s unscripted show, ‘Follow Karlo Yaar,’ offers a unique and spontaneous viewing experience.
