Rashmika Mandanna turns 28 on April 5.
Rashmika Mandanna, who turns 28 on Friday (April 5), is one of the most talented and popular stars in the film industry. The ‘Kodava Beauty’ began her career with the 2016 romantic comedy ‘Kirik Party’ and soon emerged as a sensation with her sincere performance.
She also shared screen space with A-listers such as the late Puneeth Rajkumar and Allu Arjun, emerging as one of the South cinema’s most sought-after names. Here is a look at four upcoming films that should help her stay in the limelight this year.
Rashmika is set to reprise her role as Srivalli from ‘Pushpa’ in its sequel. In a recent interview, she said that the character has ‘more responsibilities’ this time around as she is a married woman. The ‘National Crush’ also promised fans that the sequel will have more ‘masala’ than the prequel. ‘Pushpa 2’ features Allu Arjun in the titular role with Fahadh Faasil as his arch-rival. The film is set to hit screens on August 15.
The actress will be seen in an all-new avatar in ‘The Girlfriend’, billed as a unique love story. The film is directed by Rahul Ravindran, best known for his work on ‘Chi La Slow’. She has dubbed for its teaser in five languages, namely Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Interestingly, this is the first time she has lent her voice to the Malayalam version of a film. The makers initially planned to release the video today but will now do so at a later date.
The Telugu-Tamil bilingual ‘Rainbow’ promises to be another exciting outing for Rashmika Mandanna. Directed by Venky Kudumula of ‘Bheeshma’ fame, it will be produced under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner. The actress had some time ago said she wants the audience to love the film and make this character their favourite.
The ‘Animal’ star will be seen alongside Vicky Kaushal in the historical drama ‘Chhava’, helmed by Laxman Utekar. She recently revealed that she has already wrapped up her portions for the film. ‘Chhava’ features the ‘Uri’ star as the legendary warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and highlights important aspects of his life. Rashmika plays Yesubai Bhonsale, his wife, in the biggie.
