Ram Charan Reacts To ‘Naatu Naatu’ Oscars 2024 Moment, says ‘What An Honour’

‘Naatu Naatu’ mania gripped the Oscars once again as visuals from the song played on screen when  Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo arrived on stage to present the Academy Award for Best Original Song during this year’s ceremony.  Ram Charan has now reacted to this development. The mass hero took to Instagram And called it a ‘real surprise’.

“Real surprise. On the Oscars stage again. What an honour,” he wrote.

Visuals from ‘RRR’ were also included in a reel to honour stunt coordinators. The official handle of the film shared the video on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“And again, a sweet surprise for us… Glad that The Academy included RRR Movie action sequences as part of their tribute to the world’s greatest stunt sequences in cinema,” read the post.

In case you didn’t know, ‘Naatu Naatu’ won the Oscar for Best Original Song last year. MM Keeravaani and Chandrabose received the award on stage. In his acceptance speech, the composer spoke about his love for The Carpenters and reflected upon the team’s journey. Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava also performed the song live at the Oscars, impressing those in attendance.

‘RRR’, directed by SS Rajamouli, was a period action drama that centred on the fictional adventures of two real life freedom fighters Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR) and Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan). The cast included Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, and Olivia Morris.

Ram Charan, meanwhile, is working on ‘Game Changer’. The film is billed as an politica drama and marks his first collaboration with S Shankar. The Yevadu star also has ‘RC 16’, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor, in his kitty.  It will be directed by Sana Buchi Babu, who rose to fame with Vaishnav Tej’s ‘Uppena’.
