Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’, one of the biggest Hindi films of all time. The ‘Bawaal’ director’s magnum opus is likely to be formally announced on April 17. Now, here is an exciting update for those looking forward to the film. According to a report, AR Rahman is set to collaborate with another Academy Award-winning composer for ‘Ramayana’.
AR Rahman is set to team up with Hans Zimmer, who previously composed scores for The Lion King and Dunkirk, for ‘Ramayana’. According to Pinkvilla, Zimmer is fascinated by the epic and wants to be associated with the film.
“Hans Zimmer is gearing up to make his debut in the Indian Film Industry with Ramayana. Namit Malhotra and Nitesh Tiwari have always been vocal about their global vision for this Indian Epic and they are leaving no stone unturned to make that a reality. Hans Zimmer is also fascinated by the vision for the story of Lord Ram and is all ready to compose the score of Ramayana,” a source told the website.
Zimmer is said to be in the final round of discussions with the makers of ‘Ramayana’. The film has a stellar cast that includes Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Yash as Raavan, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman.
Ranbir, meanwhile, is going through a terrific phase on the work front. The star scored a big hit with ‘Animal’, which hit screens last year. The action drama became a rage among fans despite mixed reviews. The Sandeep Vanga-directed film’s cast included Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Tripti Dimri.
This was Vanga’s first release after ‘Kabir Singh’, a remake of ‘Arjun Reddy’. He will be reuniting with the director for ‘Animal Park’ after the latter wraps up the Prabhas-led ‘Spirit’.
