Report: Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara Expecting 2nd Child

Hollywood actors Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara are reportedly expecting their second child together. The couple, who welcomed their first child, a son named River, in 2020, is said to be anticipating the arrival of another baby.

Speculations arose when Mara was photographed cradling what appeared to be a baby bump at the Berlin Film Festival. If confirmed, this would mark the second child for Mara and Phoenix, who named their firstborn after Joaquin’s late brother, River Phoenix.

Russian filmmaker Victor Kossakovsky, who collaborated with Phoenix on the documentary Gunda, previously confirmed the birth of River, stating, “He just got a baby, by the way. A beautiful son called River.”

The couple’s engagement dates back to 2019, following their initial meeting on the set of the acclaimed 2013 film Her.

Meanwhile, Joaquin Phoenix is gearing up for the release of Joker: Folie a Deux, where he will be starring alongside actor-singer Lady Gaga. Gaga is rumored to portray Harley Quinn in the movie, marking the first collaboration between the two acclaimed performers.
