Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar extended special birthday wishes to Suniel Shetty on his 63rd birthday this Sunday. Tendulkar posted on his X handle, “Happy birthday to my friend who’s passionate about sports and stays incredibly fit, @SunielVShetty! May your year be filled with great health and joyful moments.”
Sachin Tendulkar, the leading run-scorer in international cricket with 34,357 runs and 100 centuries in 664 international games, is renowned for his illustrious career. He was also part of the Indian team that won the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup.
On the professional front, Suniel Shetty has a host of exciting projects ahead. He will be seen in ‘Welcome 3’ and ‘The Legend of Somnath,’ among other roles. Speaking with ANI, Shetty shared, “In the coming months, I will be featured in ‘The Legend of Somnath.’ I am quite excited about it. The film is nearly complete, with only some VFX work pending. I also have ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and a show called ‘Nanda Devi’ with Lionsgate.” Reports suggest that ‘Nanda Devi’ is an “explosive thriller.”
In a career spanning over three decades, Shetty has appeared in notable films such as “Dilwale,” “Mohra,” “Gopi Kishan,” “Krishna,” “Vinashak,” “Dhadkan,” the “Hera Pheri” series, “Hulchul,” and “Main Hoon Na.” Fans are eagerly anticipating his return alongside Akshay Kumar in ‘Welcome to the Jungle,’ the third installment of the popular ‘Welcome’ franchise. The film, set to release this December, follows ‘Welcome’ and ‘Welcome Back.’ The second installment, released in 2015, featured John Abraham and Shruti Haasan in place of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif from the original.
The upcoming film was announced with a promo on Akshay Kumar’s birthday last year. Kumar shared the video, stating, “Khud ko aur aap sab ko ek birthday gift diya hai aaj” (I have given a birthday gift to myself and all of you). If you like it and say thanks, I’d say Welcome(3) #WelcomeToTheJungle. In cinemas, Christmas – December 20, 2024.” The video featured Akshay and the cast performing an acapella routine.
