Famous filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali recently spoke about his new film Heeramandi: Diamond Bazaar web series and said that his work is “deeply dedicated” till date.
Bhansali said that he is happy with the transition to digital platforms for his ambitious films. “I have done big films and I love the process. But with ‘Heeramandi’, I have taken it to the next level. This project is my biggest effort and I want to make it really special. I must say, I am surprised by it,” he said.
Director praised that ‘Heeramandi’ is not just a serial; A whole world waiting to be discovered. “This isn’t just a show; it’s a world,” Bhansali added. “I can’t wait for viewers around the world to immerse themselves in the richness of Hira Mandi on Netflix.” Set in Lahore (now part of Pakistan) As a historical backdrop, Heeramandi explores India’s conflict between powerlessness and the struggle against independent democracy.
The strong cast comprising Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanchi Sanjeeda Sheikh and Sharmin Segal promises to deliver a great narrative.
