Ramirez played the role of Che, a nonbinary actor, writer and podcast producer, on two seasons of “And Like That.” It helped Leigh transition from magazine articles to gender-related podcast recommendations.

By the end of the second season, Ramirez’s Che Diaz and Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon) broke up completely and both began looking for a new relationship.

A source close to the final production revealed to Deadline this month that Che’s story is complete and stated that Ramirez will not return for Season 3. But the future is still possible thanks to Che’s friendship with Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker). Streaming service Max declined to comment on the matter in January and now.

This year, the Daily Mail reported that Che was fired over Ramirez’s comments about Palestinian relations, but sources told Deadline this was untrue.

Ramirez responded to the news with an Instagram post a day later, saying: “Don’t let the news distract you from what’s going on in Gaza. However, you are very good at your job.”
In “This” Che, He met Mr. Miranda. They hit it off quickly from Carrie. Miranda’s love affair with Che led to her separation and divorce from Steve (David Eigenberg).

In the second season, Miranda left her past and went to Los Angeles with Che, where they shot the pilot episode of a movie starring Tony Danza as her father.

After the pilot fails, they return east, where their relationship deteriorates. Now unemployed, Che finds a job at a veterinarian, where they meet new friends and finish their story.

Although Ramirez and Nickerson’s characters have not developed a long-term relationship, they are still good friends.

Nickerson stars Off-Broadway in Jordan Seavey’s “The Lost Seven Years,” directed by Scott Elliott.
