A variety of compelling pitches were featured in the most recent episode of Shark Tank India 3, but two entrepreneurs who introduced their product, Matri, made a presentation that was especially noteworthy. They asserted that menstrual pain can be significantly relieved by using their novel portable electronic device. They claim that the device can be applied to the abdomen and that relief occurs in ten to fifteen minutes.
The product developers talked about their process, which began with building a prototype. Though no funding was provided, they received support from IIT Patna, which gave them a lab to use as an incubation center. They turned to selling LED lights on Kolkata’s streets to raise money because they were determined to expand the market for their product. They invested the Rs 60,000 in profits towards the ongoing development of the product. They showed the judges the finished product with pride, pointing out that it had been tested on 400 women and received an amazing 90% positive feedback rate.
