Renowned rapper and music icon Snoop Dogg is grieving the loss of his beloved brother, Bing Worthington, who passed away at the age of 44. The sad news was confirmed by People magazine.
Worthington, who had been involved in various behind-the-scenes roles supporting his brother’s career, was fondly remembered by Snoop Dogg in a heartfelt tribute shared on Instagram. The rapper expressed his sorrow through a series of poignant posts on Friday.
In one post, Snoop shared a photo of himself with his late brother, captioned “@badabing33,” reflecting their close bond. Later, he shared a video featuring footage of the siblings and others in a cemetery, acknowledging the loss with a touching caption.
The Grammy-nominated artist honored his brother’s memory by posting a photograph of Worthington with their late mother, Beverly Tate, and another throwback picture, urging his brother to “say hi to grandma.”
Throughout his career, Worthington had been an integral part of Snoop Dogg’s business ventures, serving as his tour manager and co-founding Dogg Records, among other roles. He even ventured into music briefly, co-writing songs and performing with the hip-hop group Lifestyle.
In an interview with Vice in 2016, Worthington reflected on his multifaceted role within his brother’s career, emphasizing his passion for the business side of the music industry.
Tragically, Worthington’s death comes just a month after his daughter Cori Broadus suffered a severe stroke. Despite the family’s recent health challenges, Snoop Dogg remains resilient, expressing gratitude for the support and reflecting on life’s perspective in the face of adversity.
