Big Boss OTT winner and popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav has reportedly confessed to the police about his involvement in ordering snakes and snake venom for rave parties. This revelation comes amidst a case where Yadav was arrested by the Noida police on suspicion of using snake venom as a recreational drug.
According to sources from the Noida Police, the 26-year-old YouTuber admitted to ordering snakes and snake venom specifically for the purpose of hosting rave parties. He also confessed to having connections with the accused individuals who were arrested in connection with the snake venom usage during a party in Noida back in November last year.
Yadav’s arrest occurred on Sunday, March 17, as part of the ongoing investigation into the case. Subsequently, he was presented before a court, which remanded him to 14 days in judicial custody.
The case against Yadav and five others was registered under various sections of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, as well as Indian Penal Code sections related to criminal conspiracy, negligent conduct related to poison endangering human safety, and negligent conduct with respect to animals.
Additionally, charges under the stringent Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act were added to the case due to forensic reports confirming the presence of snake venom in samples collected from the party.
Yadav’s confession to the police reportedly includes his acknowledgment of knowing the other individuals arrested for supplying snake venom last year. This development has further deepened the legal complexities surrounding the case.
The 26-year-old YouTuber, who initially denied any involvement in the snake venom controversy, has now admitted to arranging snakes and snake venom at the rave parties he organized. He also disclosed his interactions with the accused individuals at different events and parties.
In light of these revelations, Yadav is facing serious legal consequences, including charges under the NDPS Act, which deals with drug-related conspiracies such as buying and selling. Bail under this law is challenging to obtain, adding to Yadav’s legal predicament.
Moreover, Yadav has also faced allegations of using snakes in his video shoots, previously attributing the presence of snakes to Bollywood singer Fazilpuria. However, investigations have pointed to Yadav’s direct involvement in the procurement and use of snake venom.
The case unfolded after an NGO member lodged a complaint and initiated a trap operation to procure snake venom, leading to the arrest of five individuals, including Yadav. The raid conducted by the police resulted in the seizure of nine snakes and snake venom from the party venue, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.
Overall, Elvish Yadav’s confession and subsequent legal proceedings underscore the complexities and ramifications of recreational drug usage, especially concerning substances like snake venom, and highlight the need for stringent enforcement of laws to combat such illicit activities.
